1. What are your hours?

Because our meal services are all pre-order only, our location does not operate as a retail location with regular hours. Therefore, we are currently only open to the public on Monday’s during the pick-up window for our customers who are picking up their meals, or under special circumstances when we might have extra food to sell.

At this time we do not keep our location stocked with meals for the public to walk in and and purchase, and all orders must be placed ahead of time.

2. What are the pick-up / delivery details?

Food is prepared and delivered once a week on Mondays between the hours of 4:00pm and 7:30pm. Please send us an e-mail if no one will be home to accept the delivery - we suggest you leave an ice chest or insulated bag with ice blocks inside on your porch for us to leave your meals in if there is a possibility you will not be home. Delivery is only available within Visalia for a fee of $10 and out of town for a fee of $15.

*Minimum purchase of 5 meals for Delivery Services

Or you can skip the delivery fee, and pick up your meals at our pick-up location:

  • Visalia Kitchen Co-Op (home of Precision Prep): 623 W Murray Ave - between 3:30pm and 5:30pm on Mondays.

3. What if we are not home during delivery hours, and we’re unable to pick-up our order?

Many of our customers choose to leave ice-chests or cooler bags on their patios if they are not going to be home during delivery hours. We are happy to leave your meals on your porch for you as long as we have a safe place to leave them. We suggest on warmer days you leave ice or frozen blocks inside the ice chest/insulated bag. Just send us an e-mail with instructions if you wish for us to do this.

We are also happy to deliver to your work location if you have access to a fridge to store them in temporarily.

If you’d prefer to skip the delivery fee but can’t make the pick-up window, you are welcome have your meals picked up by a neighbor, friend or family member.

4.  Where do you deliver?

We currently only deliver to Visalia, Hanford, Lemoore, Farmersville, Exeter, Kingsburg and Tulare. More locations may be added soon!

5. When is the order deadline?

Orders are due on Thursdays by 10:00pm. This deadline is strictly enforced.

6. Why do you only prepare food once a week?

Food is currently only prepared once a week on Mondays. We operate under traditional meal prepping methods, just on a larger scale, by prepping a bulk amount of food to last the whole week! We like to encourage our customers to plan ahead, as this is an important aspect to learning to meal prep.

Food waste is also a BIG problem in the U.S. Did you know that about 40% of all food produced in the United States is thrown away? By taking orders ahead of time and prepping only once a week it not only saves us a lot of money, but it practically eliminates our food waste, since we only buy and cook exactly what we need for the week.

7. How long do meals last, and should I freeze them?

Although we cannot offer a guarantee, our meals should stay fresh for 5 days. We always recommend using caution by smelling and visually inspecting each meal before consumption. When in doubt, throw it out! It’s important to make sure your fridge is set to the appropriate temperature (36-40 degrees) and there is no excess humidity which could cause food to spoil faster. We do not refund for spoiled meals at the end of the week, so if you do not plan on eating them within 5 days, we recommend freezing them. Our black containers are freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe.

8. What if I have a food allergy or special dietary requests?

Most of Precision Prep's meals come in different versions including vegetarian, keto, low carb, or balanced meal. If you have specific allergies or dislikes, you can set these preferences in your profile so meals that do not meet your requirements are automatically filtered out. If you have a severe gluten or nut allergy, please be aware that our kitchen is not a gluten-free or nut-free facility and there is always a risk of cross-contamination.

***Please note that we use mainly Avocado Oil for cooking/marinating and olive oil for dressings.

9. How do I manage my subscription?

When you log into your profile, just click My Subscription to view your current subscription. On the Subscription Dashboard, you can view how many meals you have for the upcoming delivery date. You can Pause or cancel the current or upcoming delivery date within your current billing plan. Additionally, you can view your current plans rate, start and end date, as well as when your plan will renew. You can also select your meals from this dashboard, and you can change your meals in your subscription as often as you’d like! Furthermore, if you want to change your plan for the following billing period, you can click re-order. This will allow you to choose new plan preferences. PLEASE NOTE: Automatic subscriptions renew 1 week in advance from being filled EVERY MONDAY. This is to allow you several days to log into your profile and update your meal choices before the next deadline. IF YOU DO NOT MANUALLY UPDATE YOUR MEALS, THE SYSTEM WILL RANDOMLY ASSIGN YOU MEALS FROM OUR MENU. This is why it is very important to set your likes/dislikes on your account.
